The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
From the cross, God is saying to the whole world, "I love you, and you, and you..." And all He asks is that we surrender to Him, believe in Him, repent of our sins and change our way of life.
The word of God has the power to pierce men’s hearts, so they can come to Christ and accept Him through faith, as their Lord and Saviour.
