The Patmos Prophecy

By My word the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water.  But the present heavens and earth by My word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men.  The day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

I see the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the books are opened; and another book is opened, which is the book of life; and the dead are judged from the things which are written in the books, according to their deeds.  And the sea gives up the dead which are in it, and death and Hades give up the dead which are in them, and they are judged, each one of them according to their deeds.  And death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire.  This is the second death, the lake of fire.  And if anyone’s name is not found written in the book of life, he is thrown into the lake of fire.

I see a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.  And I see the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven.  Her brilliance is like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.  And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as its width, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.  And the city is pure gold like transparent glass. And I see no sanctuary in it, for My own Almighty Self and the Lamb are its sanctuary.

Behold, My tabernacle is among men, and I shall dwell among them, and they shall be My people, and I Myself shall be among them, and I shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.

The city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for My glory has illumed it, and its lamp is the Lamb.  And the nations shall walk by its light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and the honour of nations into it; and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
