The Sword of the Spirit (88)

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God.  And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts:

"All things are summed up in Christ both in the heavens and upon the earth.

"We have believed in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no mortal man be justified.

"That I may be found in Him, not having a righteous of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith."

"I have determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.  Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, according to the gospel."  For we are justified by faith in Jesus Christ.  And what is justification by faith?  It is the righteousness bestowed by God through faith in Christ, by whom a sinner is freed from the penalty due for his sins.

Faith in Christ is a state of mind, a state of the heart, an unwavering belief that can't be persuaded otherwise.  And "justification by faith in Christ" is available to everyone regardless of church or denomination.
