The Sword of the Spirit (76)

The Apostle Paul said, "All things are summed up in Christ both in the heavens and upon the earth."

And again, "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified."

And again, "Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel."

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but through Me."

The only way to God the Father is through His Son Jesus Christ.  (Jesus doesn’t use the indefinite article “a” but rather the definite article “the”.  He doesn’t say “I am a way” but rather “I am the way”.)

We are all under the sentence of death; we're all going to die.  And we all need to be ready to stand before God.

Jesus came to die on a cross.  And on that cross, He bore our sins and shed His blood for each one of us.  For we are all sinners.

Jesus calls us to repent of our sins and come to Him by faith.  Have you opened your heart to Jesus?  Have you repented of your sins?

We don’t have long.  This very day, our soul could be required of us.  And the decision you make today may determine where you’ll spend eternity...
