The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts.
Someone once said, “Show me a man with great faith, and I will show you a man who has gone through considerable suffering.” Certainly, the following Psalms offer wisdom and comfort to those encountering various trials:
"Be still and know that I am God."
"Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken."
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Indeed, we are in awe of God. That is, mixed feelings of reverence, fear and wonder. And what is reverence? It is deep respect, love, and devotion.
