The Sword of the Spirit (69)

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God.  And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts:

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh but through love serve one another."

"Are not two sparrows sold for a cent?  And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Therefore do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows."

And hence the songstress sings:

"Save us, Saviour of the world.

By Your death and resurrection,

You have set us free,

You have set us free." 

And again she sings:

"Oh yes, I sing,

Because I'm free...,

For His eye is on all sparrows,

And children, I know,

How I know,

That He watches, we..."
