The Multicultural Melting Pot

King Solomon, son of David, built the temple on Mount Moriah for the express purpose of housing the Ark of the Covenant; the Ark was the physical embodiment of God’s presence on earth.  He spared no expense.  Surely the temple was one of the wonders of the world in the 10th century BC.  But the devil is always lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting.

Solomon had a thousand wives and concubines.  Although the Lord forbade Solomon from associating with many foreign nations surrounding his kingdom, Solomon chose wives from among those nations including the daughter of Pharaoh.

As acts of love, old King Solomon built altars on which his foreign wives sacrificed to their gods.  David was “a man after God’s own heart” but Solomon had compromised and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord.

So Solomon was punished and upon his death the vast majority of his kingdom was given over to his servant Jeroboam.

In the 21st century AD, in our zeal to protect the rights of others, have we forgotten the Christian principles upon which our nation was built?  Are we becoming a secular and apostate society, abandoning our beliefs?  Have we taken the Christ out of Christmas?  Have we thrown Christianity into the multicultural melting pot?

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot.  So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth.”

Special Note:  The above article was originally published on February 13, 2011.  Currently, a former Canadian school trustee has been fined $750,000.00 for expressing his opinion on transgender issues dividing our nation.  This story was featured in an article published by The National Post entitled "First reading: The Canadians being punished by the state for not believing in gender ideology".  Much to Canada's chagrin, this is a decision where justice has not been served.  Remember the words of the psalmist, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
