The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts.
Christ said, "I and the Father are one." He also said, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." John 10:30; Matthew 24:36
While Christ is one in being with the Father or has the same essential nature as God the Father, He is also a distinct Person. The Apostle Paul explains: "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we exist through Him." 1 Corinthians 8:6
God the Father is called Almighty God in Genesis 17:1 and Revelation 4:8. Christ is called Mighty God in Isaiah 9:6. And again, the Apostle Paul explains: "But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and God is the head of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11:3
Christ is co-eternal, co-equal, and consubstantial with God the Father. Notably, consubstantial means that Christ is one in being with the Father or has the same essential nature as God the Father.
