The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. And today, these powerful passages of scripture touched my heart of hearts:
"God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
"For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
"That I may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith."
Let's not complicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Perhaps that's the reason why so many of our children no longer attend church.
The Gospel hasn't changed. We are all sinners. None of us has consistently done what is morally correct. We have all experienced a guilty conscience. And God declares us righteous if we put our faith in Jesus Christ, by whom a believer is freed from the penalty due for his sins.
